“Men were born for a glorious and mission-oriented purpose, but too many fall short or have lost their way due to the pain and consequences of being fatherless.”

Man Enough to Forgive exists specifically to address the #1 societal issue of our time — the fatherlessness caused by divorce or the abandonment, absenteeism, neglect, indifference, or abuse of a boy’s God-ordained Pastor, Provider, and Protector — his father.

To support this outreach, founder and leader of Fathers in the Field, John J. Smithbaker has written his second book, Man Enough to Forgive, created an accompanying 4-part, year-long series Workbook for personal study or use in men’s groups at Christian churches, and hosts the Man Enough to Forgive podcast.

We hope you’ll find inspiration, support, peace and answers here at Man Enough to Forgive.

May the Heavenly Father bless you in your journey to restoration and becoming the man He intended you to be!

For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.”

Romans 5:6-10 (ESV)
